Conquest
Conquest
Featuring The White Stripes
It's Halloween in Detroit, and suddenly Jack mysteriously disappears and the city is turned into a De Stijl representation of itself, with the Hotel Yorba rising in the distance. Can you help Meg rescue Jack?
About the Game
The game features two levels. The first level is a De Stijl maze. Help Meg navigate her way through the maze to the Hotel Yorba. But be careful, avoid the moving blocks. One wrong move and you will be transported to a new location.
The second level is a platformer that requires you to climb to the top of the Hotel Yorba. But watch out, touch a ghost and they will possess you. Do you have what it takes to make it to room 206?
This short little game is meant to be fun, so the enemies won't kill you, they'll only slow you down. But run out of time and its game over. Try to make it through the levels as fast as you can with touching as few enemies as possible to get a high score.
Gameplay
Controls are simple.
De Stijl level:
Use the D-pad to control Meg, A and B do nothing.
Hotel Yorba level:
Use the D-pad to move around. Left and Right allows you to walk in those directions. Up allows you to climb ladders.
A is for jumping.
B does nothing.
This game was made for the Chicaghoul 2025 Jam.

Sweet cover! And so glad you like my games, I'm having a ton of fun making them. I hope to release my next game in maybe a few days, just gotta make some cutscenes. And after that I have a few more ideas as well.
Thanks 🤘😁 and I feel like the fact you have fun making them reflects in the fact that they're actually fun to play and not just cleverly themed. Your art and music are top notch but, you don't rely on those aspects to carry the game. You use those aspects to polish an already fun and objectively well designed game (and the fact you have good taste in music doesn't hurt matters either lol).
Keep em comin' yo!
